First of all you can whitelist as many IP addresses you want.
Even if you accidentally result to be banned, because you inserted many times the wrong credentials, it’s just your IP that has been marked as suspicious, not your user.
You just have to login from another IP, maybe trough a mobile device or a proxy server, and to add the blocked IP to the white list:
And you will be free to access back from the same IP; that IP won’t be banned anymore.
